Campbell’s have been farming on Palmyra Road in Mahoning county since 1900. After years of raising purebred Simmental Cattle we purchased 35 stabilizer cows from Leachman Cattle of Colorado Cooperator Bob Shugert. The multi breed cross cattle are much more fertile, functional and profitable. The cows are approximately 25% Gelbvieh, 25% Simmental, 25% Angus, and 25% Red Angus. Our Stabilizers keep Angus type, color, and kind with heterosis. Leachman Cattle of Colorado is one of the few seedstock producers that measure individual feed consumption and conversion - today's most economically important trait. We currently calve over 100 cows and feed all the steers to slaughter. The heifer calves are weaned, put on grass or grass hay and bred. Call or email us anytime to see the cattle.
